Join us for an enchanting evening of song as mezzo-soprano Jennifer Arnold and soprano Monika Teepe present Spring Song: A Celebration of Voice and Harmony. This special program features a stunning selection of vocal duets that span centuries, from the Baroque to the modern era, culminating in the world premiere of an original composition by Jennifer Arnold.

 

   About the Artists

 

Jennifer Arnold, mezzo-soprano

A versatile artist, Jennifer Arnold has captivated audiences with her warm, expressive voice and profound musicality. She has performed widely in opera, concert, and recital settings, showcasing a repertoire that spans from early music to contemporary works. In addition to her performing career, she is an accomplished composer, with her works gaining recognition for their depth and lyricism. Tonight’s concert features the world premiere of her song cycle Points of Heart.

 

Monika Teepe, soprano

Renowned for her radiant tone and emotive storytelling, soprano Monika Teepe has established herself as a compelling performer on both operatic and concert stages.   • Ernest Chausson, Gioachino Rossini, and Claudio Monteverdi:  A collection of duets from three remarkable composers, featuring delicate French melodies, bel canto brilliance, and early Baroque elegance.

  • Beloved Opera Duets:

      Léo Delibes:  The enchanting Flower Duet from Lakmé—one of the most beloved soprano-mezzo duets in the operatic repertoire.

     Giacomo Puccini:  A heartfelt duet from one of his masterful operas, highlighting his signature lush harmonies and dramatic intensity.

  • Robert Schumann:  Romantic-era duets that embody the beauty and intimacy of German Lieder.

  • World Premiere – Points of Heart : A song cycle by Jennifer Arnold, making its debut in this concert. This evocative work explores themes of love, memory, and human connection, blending lyrical melodies with rich harmonic textures.
